Clint Lee

Clint Lee loves a little disturbing behaviour; with roots in the richly cultured soil of Africa and a penchant for mind-bending minimal and tribal techno beats; he entices clubbers to twist in all sorts of distorted array, and has firmly embedded his name in London's electronic jungle. Clint Lee's journey into Electronic Dance Music began under the African sun. Growing up to an ethnic beat along the East Coast of South Africa, in a musically ambitious family; he was destined to find his life rhythm in music. Inspired by the sounds and forms in nature, but pulled towards the epicenter of cutting edge cadence, Clint relocated to London, having played the best clubs and events the country has to offer- and took his animalistic approach to dance music with him. Clint took to the club circuit in early 2001 and organically climbed the local ladder. With his nurtured attraction to percussive and native sounds, he built a solid repute for strong bass lines and jungle fever'd sets. Now, over eight years in, his African-inspired, futuristic beats are in high demand in both London and Ibiza, with regular bookings in the Greater United Kingdom and Europe. Clint has held residencies with Zombies Ate My Brain and CircoLoco, two of London's biggest club nights, since their inception, and also plays a global residency with Zoo Project including the infamous Zoo Project Ibiza in the summer. To date he has played alongside some of the biggest names in House and Techno including, Clive Henry, Loco Dice, Booka Shade, Stimming, Mathew Johnson, James Holden, Dan Genacia and Claude Von Stroke to name just a fair few. Guest appearances at some of London's most solid event nights have included Fervor, Retox, Excuse The Mess, Wax, VeryVeryWongIndeed, Mixmag and DJ Magizine events and Jaded, alongside a further list of superstar talent; Gui Boratto, John Tejada, Jamie Jones, Matthew Styles, Ralf Kollman, Djuma Sound System, Red Robin, Bushwacka, Marc Houle, Timo Maas, Steve Bug, Ralf Lawson and Mr C. Clint has also debuted at the TDK and Global Breakthrough festivals. Inspired in Africa in 2000, Clint unleashed the spirit of his own event project, Wildlife, in 2008. Wildlife is an exciting and unique global project that aims to bring a message of awareness about animal cruelty to the culturally diverse and socially extrovert world of clubland, and encourage a unified dance for humanism. Wildlife Ibiza launched last summer alongside Zoo Project in the old abandoned Zoo on the island, and saw the likes of support from Jamie Jones, Shonky, Ame, SIS, System of Survival, Anthony Collins and Jose De Davina. Wildlife Ibiza is set to be a highlight on the summer clubbing calendar again this year. Wildlife's objective is to tour the globe and campaign for animal rights through a series of spectacular events, bringing creative artists and performers together in demonstration. He hopes Wildlife will become a valued new-generation support system, aiding environmental organisations like The World Wildlife Federation, and projects alike around the world, and instil a protective nature towards our environment, in the dance culture community. Clint got on board Phase Records with production partner Alex Corr in early 2009. The two seeds are producing under the alias Organic Nature and their sound offers a melodic balance between Deep House and Techno- with a focus on native influences and tribal rhythms. The result is a pure, landscaped sound with rustic bass lines that is sure to grip the heart of the dancefloor with the best intentions. Keep an eye out for their first track releases coming soon. Clint's ethos is 'be creative, be yourself and just let go!' Something he encourages from behind the box through his sets. From coaxing a shy floor into action, entertaining the partygoers, enlightening the curious, satisfying the whims of the tired and weary; he constantly monitors the energy levels of the crowd at all times. It is this intelligent and conscious approach, merged with his down to earth manner and cool mixing demeanor that make his dancefloor one to remember!
