Ricardo Villalobos will take you on a unique journey with his performance at the Sunwaves festival in Mamaia (Romania). He starts off slow and ingeniously builds and builds his set to end in a massive explosion of party-madness.

Ricardo Villalobos (born 1970) is a Chilean-German electronic music producer and DJ. He is well-known for his work in the minimal techno and microhouse genres, and is one of the most significant figures in today's minimal techno scene.

Villalobos was born in Santiago, Chile in 1970. In 1973 he moved to Germany with his family to escape the dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet, who had seized power that year. When Ricardo was around 10 or 11 he started to play conga and bongos. Though he loved music, he could never see himself as a musician.

Without a doubt the absolute BEST set I have ever heard on Dancetrippin. Villalobos is an absolute monster, not to mention incredibly hilarious/entertaining to watch. My only wish is that the owners of this website make up their minds. Why provide free streaming content but not allow downloads of it? It makes no sense, either charge a monthly fee for unlimited use, or make it completely free. I'd love to manage this website, I will make you all rich. -Much love from Canada.

@geko before you go ahead and say its for sick people. look at both situations both jocks you mentioned were in, a lot of lighting and effects. meanwhile ricardo has a mere backdrop, his records and cds and still gets the crowd rocking the same. sick people i think not, if theyre not easily amused by visuals :).

@ Shatsky. We have no difficulty making up our minds in fact.

Maybe you arent aware of this fact, but it is ILLEGAL for us to give downloads of music which we don't own the rights for. Many people don't seem to understand this fact in the age of downloads and sharing sites. If you were managing this site and giving out free downloads, the result would be the end of DanceTrippin.

If we want to keep doing this (providing great music for your enjoyment) then we have to stay legit, which means NO DOWNLOADS.

I delivered the sound systems for both this stage and Sasha's at Sunwaves, and I had a fantastic time. Ricardo played great music, feeling the mood and vibe of the audience, which btw was amazingly nice and friendly.
First experience in a festival of this scale in Romania and can't wait to be back there!
Ricardo ruled the floor!

there is one tune at 40.46, but at 42 mins, he is playing 2 tunes at the same time, one of which is Cassius- Sound of violence (Franco Cinelli remix) is isnt just one song like you have suggested in the tracklist! C'mon Dance trippin, thought you would know this, he is mixing for christ sake haha!

Also at the fag who is rimming Sander van doorn and karotte, what an awful human you are, go curl in a hole in the ground and take van doorn and karotte with you, do us all a favour and take people like laidback luke and sweedish house with you. the world would be a better place
